Fantastic contract opportunity to secure before Christmas! As an initial 8-week contract position, working as part of a small team responsible for the website management of a high profile Federal Government website, you will:
  • Review content on both internal facing (SharePoint) and public facing websites, identify and remove orphaned pages and links, ensuring consistency of information and presentation of content;
  • Assist with managing content changes with website service providers;
  • Further develop SharePoint website, including new pages, functionality, layout and structure. Document more complex changes for third-party development;
  • Review and recommend systems and/or procedures for better managing website content; and
  • In consultation with work units, implement a web-based feedback system for clients.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • An understanding of website design principles and content management;
  • Ability to review and recommend procedural improvements to the management of content until the introduction of an enterprise CMS;
  • Ability to liaise, negotiate and consult with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Good interpersonal skills, the ability to manage workloads and work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, including the ability to undertake limited development work would be an advantage; and
  • Tertiary qualifications in website design/content management or a similar field would be an advantage
